CMDU: Covid Medicines Delivery Unit

This is a guide to help clinicians carry out an initial assessment and refer a patient to the North Staffordshire CMDU service.

2. Eligibility (within 5 days from onset)

SARS-CoV-2 infections confirmed by PCR test

Lateral flow test AND symptomatic AND showing no signs of recovery

AND

Member of 'at risk groups'

Cohort	Description
Down's Syndrome	All patients with condition
Cancer	Active cancer All patients receiving chemo within the last 3 months
Haematological patients	Haematological cancers Sickle Cell Disease Haematological transplant patients
Renal Disease	Renal transplant CKD 4 or 5 (eGFR < 30)
Liver Disease	Cirrhosis Liver Transplant Immunosuppresed
Immune-mediated Inflammatory Disorders (IMID)	On treatment - Rituximab Active/ Stable disease on corticosteroids, cyclosporin, mycopheolate, and/or others On biological therapies
Immune deficiencies	Any qualifying condition
HIV/ AIDs	High level of immune supression CD4 <350 CD4 >350 with other risk factors (age, DM, obesity,IHD, Liver/Renal disease)
Transplant Patient	Solid organ recipients
Rare neurological conditions	Multiple Sclerosis Motor Neurone Disease Myasthenia Gravis Huntington's Disease
