Problems
Making 'Problems' in SystmOne allows codes to be easily visible when reviewing patients' clinical records.
It is possible to 'code a condition' but not make it a 'Problem'.
There are a number of scenarios when it comes to elevating a clinical code to a 'Problem', and the list below describe the various scenarios.
In the example, above and below, the patient has the code of 'Benign prostatic hyperplasia' in his record, but is only a 'Problem' in the second example.
1. Existing clinical code
Patient has an existing code in the record but it is not in the 'Problem' list. First find the code within the medical journal
- Hover about the "Clinical code" and right mouse click
- Choose "promote to Problem"
Within Loomer Medical, we generally only have 'Major' Problems.
2. Key Stroke: A new consultation and adding a clinical code
Predictive text offers up a relevant clinical code.
Having accepted the clinical coding, one can see that there is no associated 'Flag marker' to identify the code in our problem list.
Ensuring that the text cursor is immediately after the clinical code, a shortcut key of "Ctrl + ;" will convert the code into a major problem.
3. Double click on a clinical code
Similar to above, we have entered a clinical code.
Double click on the code
